How to make 2012 a year of growth, meaning, and fulfillment
:
When I asked a friend recently about his intentions for the next year, he said: “Getting through it.”
How about you? Are you excited about 2012 – or are your expectations rather low?
The beginning of a new year is the opportunity to start fresh, leave the past behind and move forward into a new direction. We set resolutions, join gyms, vow to call our friends more often and meditate every day. But unfortunately most of our positive intentions don’t “survive” more than a couple of months – before they get buried by a busy schedule, procrastination and complacency. The problem is, that most of our desired changes and improvements aren’t motivating enough: they not only make us focus on our flaws and shortcomings, they are also often too ambitious to be able to reach them and bring very little instant rewards. In other words, we don’t change, if it doesn’t make us happy.
So how can we avoid just going through the motions and letting another year pass by? How can we gain the clarity, the motivation and momentum to make this year the year we truly made a difference for ourselves?
Listen to this interview and learn simple steps on how to bring purpose and fulfillment into your daily life, so that at the end of 2012 you can say:” This was the best year so far.”

The Power's of our Consciousness - Part 2: Openness and Flexibility:
Someone once said: "A mind is like a parachute - it only works when it is open." Openness and flexibility are one of the most important powers of our mind and consciousness. While it may be 'the survival of the fittest', it is certainly 'the thriving of the most flexible.'
Lack of openness and flexibility are one of the most common reasons we stay stuck and don't reach our goals. When our mind becomes rigid, our perspective becomes limited and all we can focus on are the problems and obstacles.
On the other hand, with a flexible mind, we can unmask and look beyond the assumptions and projections we've assumed were reality. We are open to see ourselves and the situations we're dealing with from various angles, analyze the details, and then take another look at the bigger picture or from a higher perspective. Flexibility increases our range of emotional and mental responses, allows us to move more quickly through feelings that are not supportive, and empowers us to consciously see and take advantage of the opportunities in every situation.
Listen to Part 2 of this 5-part interview series with and learn tools how to effectively harness the 5 natural powers of your consciousness. This upcoming interview will address the power of openness and flexibility, which allows us to find answers in problems, understanding in confusion, and possibilities in limitations.

The Power's of our Consciousness - Part 1: Perspective:
Why does it appear so difficult to change and thrive - to take life into our own hands and follow our dreams? Most of us have a natural fear of change. We become used to our lives and limitations being the way they are, and even if they are unpleasant, they are in a sense more comfortable than even the prospect of something new, something we don't understand or might fail at. What would change or a bigger life actually look like and feel like? Who would we be? What if don't have what it takes? As we remain stuck and entangled in our fears and insecurities, our belief that we aren't able to change only increases.
The good news is that we all have the most powerful tool to break through these fundamental barriers at our disposal. Our consciousness, which consists of conscious and subconscious mind and higher consciousness. The acronym POWER describes the five natural abilities of our consciousness that provide us with the leverage and power to break through any perceived limitations and take our lives to a greater level of happiness and fulfillment.
Listen to this interview series with Dr. Friedemann Schaub and learn tools how to effectively harness the 5 natural powers of your consciousness. This interview will address the power of Perspective, which means our ability to be conscious that we create our own reality - and how we can make it better. With perspective comes awareness, with awareness comes responsibility, and with taking responsibility comes true empowerment.

How to find the strength in “over-sensitivity”:
Do you feel too much too quickly? Are you crushed by a faintly critical remark of a friend and over-analyze every conversation you have? Do you feel embarrassed for people’s blunders on TV? Or do even you avoid going to the mall or the movies, because you seem to pick up on everybody’s energy?
No questions, being over-sensitive can be a challenge. Highly sensitive people sponge emotions – their own and those of others - making them feel easily wired and overwhelmed. There seems to be not enough time or energy to process the feelings and sensations, which can lead eventually to emotional exhaustions and physical problems.
Generally speaking, our society has little room and patience for feelings. Logic and toughness are far more accepted than emotions and sensitivity. Being highly sensitive is considered a flaw and weakness, with very little “competitive” value.
So what can you do? Suppress your sensitivity or pretend that you are unaffected by it? The fact is that sensitivity is a strength, which when you learn how to control and utilize can lead to greater self-awareness, success and fulfillment.
Listen to this radio interview with self-empowerment expert Dr. Friedemann Schaub to learn the keys on how to access and work with the power of sensitivity.

How to de-Clutter mind and simplify your thoughts:
When was the last time you took out the garbage – or simply exhaled? There is a simple rule of life - whatever we take in, must somehow find its way out. It just doesn’t seem to apply for our minds, or at least so we think. We are constantly using our mind and fill it up with some form of stimulation. Even at the end of a busy day, cable TV and the Internet allow us to binge on information and entertainment. When was the last time you emptied your mind? How do you notice that it is getting “crowded” up there?
Similar to a computer, our mind has only limited storage, it needs to be de-cluttered once in a while and eventually freezes when it is made to run beyond its capacity. Typical signs of mind-clutter are lack of focus, restlessness, irritability, anxiety, insomnia to just mention a few.
Listen to self-empowerment expert Dr. Friedemann Schaub and learn effective, easy to implement tools, which allow you to keep your mind clutter-free and your thoughts clear and simple.

Awakening to your Authentic Self:
We are living in very exciting times. The recent events in Egypt and other countries have surprised the world. It appears that a powerful shift in consciousness has occurred. People are committed to making their voices heard and their needs and rights respected. The longing for freedom and empowerment are emerging as catalysts and powers for change.
A similar shift of consciousness also occurs on an individual level. Many people feel that the “old ways” of being, no longer work for them. Rather than living from stress and obligation, they want to live with joy and purpose. Instead of meeting other’s expectations or simply fitting in, they are aiming for authentic self-expression.
Yet how do you address the insecurity and the fear of change that can hold you back from this awakening, from stepping into your truly empowered self?
Listen to self-empowerment expert Dr. Friedemann Schaub and his special guest Julie Hart founder of awakeningwiththemasters.com to learn how you can grow beyond these perceived limitations – and awaken to your authentic self.

Let’s talk boundaries – why “no” isn’t a four-letter word:
For many people setting boundaries is more challenging than enduring the pain of getting walked all over. The desire to push back, speak up and stand up for oneself gets thwarted by insecurities and the overwhelming fear of rejection.
However, the problem with boundaries isn’t only enforcing them, but also to recognize when they are ignored. You just start feeling good about the positive changes you have been making – but your family seems to prefer the “old” you. Or your excitement about a new interest gets squashed by your friend’s eye-roll. These subtle ways in which boundaries get overstepped often hurt the most. But what are healthy boundaries – and how do you create them?
Dr. Pat invited with Daylle Schwartz, Danielle Rama Hoffman and Dr. Friedemann Schaub a panel of experts, who will share with you their insights, approaches and specific tools on how to set boundaries from a place of self-love and confidence.

The keys to unconditional self-love:
The holidays are the time to show love and appreciation to those we care most about. But the one person we will probably once again overlook and forget about is – ourselves. Think about it. How is your relationship with yourself? Do you listen to your desires, respect your boundaries and try to make sure that you know that you care about yourself? Or are you your own worst critic, never seeing yourself as good enough, taking all your efforts and accomplishments for granted?
Although it doesn’t really make sense that the one person you are bound to spend every moment of your life with gets treated the worst, self-love seems for many people an unimaginable concept. Some of us are even told that self-love is selfish, narcissistic and simply wrong.
The fact is that self-love is one of the greatest powers for change, healing and success available to us. And it is a natural ability every being is born with – most of us just “forget” over time how to access this ability.
Listen to this interview with Dr. Friedemann Schaub, breakthrough and empowerment expert, and learn the essential keys on remembering how to love yourself unconditionally – and share this love with others.

The Power of the Word – You can use it or abuse it:
If you haven’t been creating the results you want in your life, chances are that you are not utilizing one of your greatest powers – your word. The creative power of the word has been recognized for thousands of year. Words can create, teach, inspire and connect. And they can do just the opposite – deceive, destroy, deflate and alienate. There are ways in which we unconsciously abuse the power of words and sabotage our efforts to create greater happiness and prosperity. How often do you judge and criticize yourself rather harshly? Are you aware of the words you are using when you think about your job or your life? When was the last time you gave your word to yourself or others and then didn’t follow through?
The negative consequences of not honoring our word are far more severe than most of us are aware of – they often trigger anxiety, lack of self-worth, lack of energy and depression.
Dr. Schaub talks about how we can stop abusing (do you have another word for abuse?) the power of the word – and stat harnessing its potential to reach our goals.

Men and Feelings: Certain things don’t seem to go together – Seattle and sunscreen, Germans and humor, men and feelings.
Of course these are just stereotypes. Men have emotions too. They usually just don’t talk about them or even worse try not to notice them. Men often still regarded feelings as weak, confusing and potential traps.
Considering that stress-related illnesses are the most common causes of death among males in our society, it would make sense to take feelings more seriously. Many men haven’t been brought up to express or deal with their feelings – let alone handle those of others. Emotions were pushed down, ignored or intellectualized throughout their adult lives.
So what can they do now about it? Is it too late to change? Listen to this radio interview with breakthrough expert Dr. Friedemann Schaub and discover simple but effective steps, which allow every man to reconnect to their feelings – and find the power in owning them.

Leaving the past behind is more than just letting go: It is an inevitable fact that we are all heading towards the future. But what if all you can “see” are the traumas of the past? What if your forward momentum seems blocked by your emotional baggage? You can’t really enjoy the present, when you are still preoccupied with past mistakes.
“Just let go of the past and live in the now” – sounds like good advice but is it really that easy? The answer is yes – provided you are engaging your conscious and your subconscious minds. One of the major reasons for being stuck in the past is, that although you may be determined to leave it behind, your subconscious mind will hold on to it until if you haven’t learned and integrated its lessons.

Change is inevitable – the fear of it is optional: At the beginning of a year, many people are poised and ready to change. They formulate New Year’s resolutions to drop that habit, take that jump and make a difference in their life. But the closer they get to actually making a change, the stronger the fear of failing becomes. When planning a change, most people invariably feel insecure, scared and overwhelmed. Some of the usual suspects are: What if I can’t do it, what if I don’t like it, what if people don’t like the new me... As a consequence the majority of resolutions never get put into action.
But let's face it, even if we decide to “stay the same,” we still change. It’s an unavoidable fact of life. So we all have a choice – to either give change a direction and momentum or let change happen to us. One can lead to self-empowerment and fulfillment, the other more often to emptiness and unconscious living.
Listen to this interview and learn how to consciously change, overcome the fear of failure and stay fully committed to your goals. You may also download this MP3 file. |

But while you are spreading the good energy to everybody else, one person usually gets forgotten – which is you.Why is it so hard to be good to ourselves – to love ourselves? During these challenging and interesting times, many opportunties for guilt and shame seem to arise. Shame about loosing the job, the house, the car - guilt about having to let go of employees or letting the loved ones down and even guilt about doing well and keeping the job, while others struggle.
Guilt and shame are two of the most self-limiting emotions - making us want to hide. be invisible and even punish and hurt ourselves. In his book “Power versus Force” Dr. David Hawkins defines guilt and shame as the lowest level of human consciousness, with the lowest amount of energy. The depleting and self-destructive effects of these emotions are often overlooked, because they can be associated with the self-limiting belief, that we deserve and "should" feel this way. On this upcoming radio-interview I talk about, a five step process called RULES, that allows you to escape this internal trap and turn guilt and shame into self-acceptance and self-empowerment. Are you affected by the constant talk about the economical crisis? Do you feel more anxious, powerless or drained? During times of a perceived crisis most people tend to shift into a “fight and flight” survival mode and consider self-care as rather “selfish” and a luxury. Yet, you have also seen the safety information on planes, explaining that in emergency situations, you have to first strap on the oxygen mask yourselves, before assisting your neighbor. How can you be of service to others and yourselves, if your inner resources are depleted? During a recent visit in Germany I came across a new expression "selfness" - wellness for the self. Selfness does not refer to a one hour per month self-care plan - it rather describes a new way of approaching life with a different, more self-appreciative consciousness. Through making yourself a priority and creating more internal balance and well-being, you are able to become the catalyst for change and the light in the darkness. Listen to this interview to learn more about how through “selfness” and putting yourself first, you can be and feel your best, no matter what the circumstances are. Fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of making a mistake, fear of rejection etc. A great man once said:"Fear is a luxury we can no longer afford". But how do we release fear and anxiety that has been with us for a long time, stored in our cellular memory? Dr. Schaub created the Break-through Fear and Anxiety Intensive as an opportunity for everybody to make a quantum leap from fear to emotional freedom. Through learning how to work directly with your unconscious mind, you are able to let go of fear and limiting beliefs and at the same time gain a deeper trust and appreciation for yourself. This is an extremely cost and time-effective way to get in touch with your true potential and accelerate your personal growth. Listen to this interview on the Dr. Pat Show to learn more about this Intensive. You may also download this MP3 file. |

The use of sound for healing dates back to the ancient mystery schools of Egypt and was a highly developed sacred science. In particular the harp played an important role during temple initiations. After our sold out tour in 2007, Danielle and I are teaming up again with the world-renowned harpist Peter Sterling for a Sacred Sound Journey to Egypt, February 2009. Join us on this radio interview and have an opportunity to hear the magical harp and learn about the mysteries of the sacred sites, which were built to amplify sound waves for the purpose of healing and awakening. Do you dread the end of your vacation? The transition from vacation to work-life is for many of us quite challenging. The vacation state of mind is vastly different to our “regular” every-day mind-set. We are more open, relaxed and find enjoyment in almost everything we are doing. But why do we limit this way of thinking and being to only a few weeks per year? What would life be like, if this would be our default mind-setting? If you would like to find out more on this topic- listen to this interview on the Dr. Pat Show. You may also download this MP3 file. |

Did you notice that everything appears to go faster and faster? Unfortunately for many of us this also includes the workings of our minds. “Mind-racing” is a very common problem in our society. Although our outer circumstances are fine, we manage to literally talk ourselves into a state of stress and anxiety. Why do we do this to ourselves? And what can we do to escape this spiraling of the constantly wandering or worrying mind – and thus find more peace inside? Listen in to find the answers. You may also download this MP3 file. |
